Special dimensions – finishing
With the special machines we have and our know-how we can process the Karystos stone and give it different faces on its surface beyond the natural face. These can be:
- The face of the obsolete (antique), in which the stone looks like aged. Its application is mainly in: door sills, windows, stair treads and generally on floors.
- The face of the polished surface where the stone after processing looks like marble and the “waters” of the rock stand out, giving a special surface. This method is applied to wall coverings, floors, special constructions such as table surfaces, etc.
- The face of the combed (striped) where on the slate are created very small lines – grooves and has application mainly in outdoor areas for floors, stairs and wall finishes (covers – tops).
